The Humble Historian of Oz

This site was started to chronicle the items of my ever-growing Oz collection, including very rare memorabilia of: Oz books, 1930's collectors items, non-Oz L. Frank Baum items, Items from the numerous Oz films, and all other Oz related items!

On Left: Me wearing a rare Oz pin from the collection of the designer Wendy Gell, 1989.

Above & on Right: Two sections of my Oz collection when I was 12 years old, it has grown so much since then. Updated photos of my ever-growing collection will be added to this website!

On Left:

You will see a picture of me and a white cat. This white cat's name just so happens to be Eureka. Yes, after the cat Uncle Henry finds and exclaims "Eureka!" ... My cat was named so in a similar situation. A few years ago my boyfriend lived in an apartment that had a fire, after the firefighters had left and the building was safe he heard a tiny meow inside the abandoned burnt apartment ~ long story short he found and rescued this cat and the first thing I thought was "Eureka!"

On Right: This is one of the most sought after Oz collectors items. It is a prop of "the key" from the Disney film 'Return to Oz' and also of course mentioned in the original Oz books by L. Frank Baum.

I am proud to say that I am now the owner of 1 of 9 of these rare keys made by Norank Engineering Co Ltd. Elstree Film Studios made in 1985.
